Ribbon blenders are made of U shape in which is rotating an agitator. The agitator s designed as a double helical ribbon which allows creating convective movement of the materials in 2 directions achieving mixing of powders and bulk solids. Ribbon blender s are still a very simple to mix dry materials offering decent mixing performances which are sufficient for many applications. The capacity of the mixer should not be exceeded otherwise the ribbon or blades are not effective and the surface layers of the powder do not get adequately mixed.
